Summary of Programs
Assistance League of Montgomery County is a nonprofit organization of volunteers dedicated to improving lives in Montgomery County through philanthropic programs. The services provided through these programs are thoughtfully administered through the collaborative efforts of Assistance League of Montgomery County and community service agencies, schools, churches, and other local organizations to change the lives of economically-disadvantaged residents of the County. Our vision is that Assistance League becomes known in Montgomery County for improving the lives of all residents.
A 501(c)(3) agency, Assistance League strives to research, recognize and develop programs that improve the lives of people in our community. During the chapter’s last fiscal year, June 2015 – May 2016, the 200+ volunteers of Assistance League gave almost 50,000 hours of service to benefit over 35,000 residents; and approximately $460,000 was spent to assist families, single adults, children, youth and seniors in need in Montgomery County. Since its inception in 1985, Assistance League of Montgomery County has returned almost $5,000,000 to the Montgomery County community.
