How You Can Help
As a member of the Montgomery County community, there are many ways that you can help Assistance League of Montgomery County as we provide philanthropic assistance to those in need.
Donations
Your financial support helps ensure that Assistance League can continue to make a difference in the lives of thousands of people each year.
- $15 will provide a fan or blanket for a senior citizen
- $30 buys a fan AND a blanket
- $50 will clothe a student in Operation School Bell®
- $70 provides a student with clothes AND shoes
Your donation can be for one of our specific philanthropic programs or can be used to help where needed.
As Montgomery County has grown, so has its need for philanthropy. In September 2010, Assistance League finished their 3,750-square-foot expansion of its facility. With nearly double the sales space, the Thrift Shop is now able to accept furniture and consignment items, thus increasing our sales. This increased revenue enables us to reach more individuals in the community. Your donations to the building expansion fund will help us meet that goal more quickly.

Memorials And Honorariums
Memorial donations provide a thoughtful way to celebrate someone’s life. Honorariums are wonderful ways to honor someone on his/her birthday or anniversary, as well as other special occasions, as well. We welcome your consideration of special gifts such as these.

Grants
Assistance League of Montgomery County appreciates Grants received from individuals, local and national foundations, and organizations. All grants are spent on the philanthropic program or programs designated at the time the funds are given.
Assistance League of Montgomery County participates in the DonorHouston webpage supported by the Greater Houston Community Foundation. Donations can made through the DonorHouston website.
Thrift Shop Donations
Donations of new or gently used clothing, accessories, books, toys, collectibles, furniture, and housewares are accepted at the shop during regular business hours, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. The Thrift Shop is located at 126 North San Jacinto Street, Conroe, Texas 77301. The phone number for the shop is 936-760-1151. We regret that there are some items that we cannot accept such as large appliances and computers. Please call to see if we can accept any items not mentioned above.
Volunteer Opportunities
Assistance League members are active participants in making each philanthropic program and functional committee work by volunteering their time and talents. For information on becoming an Assistance League member, please email the current Vice President of Membership.
