Thrift Shop
The Assistance League Thrift Shop is the economic engine that provides approximately 80 percent of the budget that supports our philanthropic programs. Thrift Shop earnings have grown from $12,900 during 1985 – 1986 to $327,000 in 2009 -2010.
The Thrift Shop is staffed entirely by our member volunteers who worked over 11,000 hours during 2010 – 2011 to ensure the smooth operation of the shop. The Thrift Shop carries items from boutique-quality clothing to everyday wear, from jewelry to electronics, from a child’s toy to a gently used sofa, from decorative items to necessary kitchen utensils. Seasonal items and holiday decorations are available to provide shoppers with merchandise to brighten their home décor. The Thrift Shop is tastefully appointed and always an inviting place to shop.
Donated merchandise is tax-deductible and gratefully accepted at the Thrift Shop Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Consignment items are also accepted on Wednesdays at the Thrift Shop.
