About Us
From the President
Welcome to the Assistance League of Montgomery County’s website. Our chapter is one of 120 chapters of Assistance League throughout the nation who put “Caring and Commitment into Action.”
Our all volunteer chapter of over 200 dedicated members fulfills our mission through our ten philanthropic programs. New school clothing for children in need increases their self esteem. Fans and blankets for seniors give them comfort. Therapy items, handmade dolls and kits of toiletries and clothing assist and comfort those who have been abused. Community health issues are addressed through our poison prevention presentations to children and our immunization and health record booklets. Those wishing to further their education or those with special needs can benefit from our scholarships. Basic needs are met through our outreach and caring and sharing programs.
Last year members provided more than 46,000 hours of service to this community. Since 1985 we have returned over $3 million to the Montgomery County community. We are dedicated to making a positive change and helping those in need achieve a better quality of life.
